It is a great privilege and responsibility for our parish to be known as the "Church of the Blessed Sacrament." Our name includes a special call for us as a faith community to be Eucharist-centered. The celebration of the Mass is the heart and soul of our parish life. Designated times for Eucharistic Adoration allow us to continue the adoration of Mass and gaze upon the Lord.
First Communion is typically celebrated the first Sunday of May. Preparation for First Holy Communion begins at the beginning of the second-grade year.
Preparation for the sacrament occurs at home using Nourish, a family-based faith formation experience. Education is supplemented in our school and Encounter programs as well.
Holy Communion is brought to our homebound by a team of Extraordinary Ministers. If you or someone you know is unable to make it to Mass, please contact the parish office at (740) 345‑4290 so that we can arrange to have Holy Communion brought to the home.
